    Sir Muir has worked for the National Health Service in England since 1972, occupying a variety of senior positions during that time, including serving as the Director of Research and Development for Anglia and Oxford Regional Health Authority, and first establishing and then being the  Director of the UK National Screening Committee. He founded the National Library for Health, and was the Director of Clinical Knowledge, Process, and Safety for the NHS (England) National Programme for IT, serving as the Director of the National Knowledge Service.  He was the first person to hold the post of Chief Knowledge Officer of the NHS (England), also serving as the co-Director of the Department of Health’s Quality Innovation Productivity and Prevention  (QIPP) Right Care Programme.  Together with Sir Iain Chalmers, Muir was instrumental in establishing the Cochrane Collaboration. Sir Muir is an internationally renowned authority on healthcare systems and has advised governments of several countries outside the UK, including Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, G and Germany.

    A Vocalist, Multi-Instrumentalist, Composer, Director, Filmmaker, Innovator, Motivational Speaker, and Traveller.

    He is performing various Genres of music as well as performing Classical and Fusion on the Hawaiian Slide Guitar and various other instruments. His concerts are marked with a unique sense of creativity and exploration.

    A Co-Composer, Vocalist, and Guitarist on the Grammy Winning Album “WINDS OF SAMSAARA” and the only one to have won the Independent World Music Awards, USA and the Nashville Award for composers where his composition was chosen over the maestro Illayaraja. An A grade artiste from Akashvani and Doordarshan with over 2000 concert experience, Prakash has toured extensively with his troupes, namely “Dr. Prakash Sontakke Group” (Progressive Hindustani Crossover), and International Trio “Lehera” (World Fusion)

    Mr. Veerendra Mishra, IPS

    Mr. Veerendra Mishra is a senior IPS officer who was previously posted as Director, National Institute of Social Defence; Director, National Service Scheme; Executive Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan; and Secretary, Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA). He has served in two United Nations Missions and pro-bono involvement in one UN Mission in Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, and East Timor.

    Mr. Mishra is a Hubert Humphrey fellow and was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship on the subject of Human Trafficking at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. He is the author of several publications including – Combating Human trafficking: Gaps in Policy and Laws; Human Trafficking: The Stakeholder’s Perspective; Community Policing: Misnomer or Fact; Cracking of Dawn; Missing Children and Linkages with Human Trafficking.

    He has represented India on several occasions including at the SAARC Regional Workshop in Nepal and; International Conference on Drug Prevention, Treatment and Care in Vienna.

    He specializes in Anti- Human Trafficking; Transgender issues; Social Policy; and the Development of the Youth. WIF Team had the opportunity to meet Mr. Mishra who shared his expert knowledge on trafficking, volunteerism, and the generation gap, among others.

    Mr. Ranjan Bargotra is an advertising and corporate leader with a track record of over 34 years of advertising and brand management. He is a former President at Crayons Advertising, instrumental in growing its business by 40 times during the last 24 years.

    Mr. Bargotra has been associated with building and managing brands that are category leaders, FMCG products, Corporates, Governments/Ministries, and Top PSUs.

    He joined ‘Uncle Chips’ as a Management Trainee and rose to the position of Brand Head, first at Imageads and Communications Pvt. Ltd. and later at Clea Advertising, before his association with Crayons Advertising.

    He specializes in Advertising and Branding, Strategic Planning, Insight Mining, Communication Strategy, People Management and Motivation, Team Building, Project Management and Execution, and Relationship Building.

    Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Union Minister

    Mr. K.J. Alphons is a transformational leader, former member of the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister and Bureaucrat (IAS), and a social worker.

    He served in the Indian Administrative Service from 1979 to 2006 when he voluntarily retired from the service. For his outstanding work, he was featured in Time Magazine’s list of 100 Young Global Leaders in 1994. He pioneered the Literacy Movement in India by making Kottayam in Kerala the first 100 percent literate town in India in 1989. He is credited with the demolition of 14,310 illegal buildings in Delhi, and reclamation of land worth Rs.10,000 crores, as Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority.

    Mr. Alphons was appointed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Tourism. Under his leadership, India was ranked No. 3 in Global Tourism by World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Report 2018.

    Presently, he is an elected member of the Rajya Sabha and member of several committees and councils such as the Committee on External Affairs, Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Defence, the Executive Council of the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, and the like.

    Mr. Alphons has several publications to his credit including, Making a Difference (1996), India Mattathinte Muzhakkam (Malayalam), 1996, and Badlav Ke Liye, 1998 (Hindi).

    Kathak Kendra, the National Institute of Kathak Dance, is a premier Dance institution in the country, dedicated to promote the practice, development, and awareness of Kathak Dance as a performing art tradition, as well as a component of the rich classical heritage of the nation.

    Kathak Kendra was established in 1964 as a Constituent Unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi. Training in Kathak Dance forms the very core of its existence. Kathak Kendra aims to carve highly skilled performers of the art who are the next generation of learned Guru-s, Choreographers, and above all, intelligent advocates of the art form. A talented and dedicated team of Guru-s forms the strong pillar of training at the Kathak Kendra.

    Since the Kendra is a Constituent Unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, its management vests in the Executive Board of the Akademi, which is assisted by an Advisory Committee. Presently Shri Suman Kumar is the Director of the Kathak Kendra.

    WIF team visited Kathak Kendra to share Report ‘Draft Culture Policy of India’ and ‘Civilization by Design’.

    The Delhi Gymkhana Club is one of the oldest clubs in India. It moved to its present location on the 3rd July 1913. It was then called the “Imperial Delhi Gymkhana Club” and Mr. Spencer Harcourt Butler was its first President. When India gained Independence in 1947, the word “Imperial” was dropped and it was simply known as “Delhi Gymkhana Club”.
