Acknowledged among India’s most distinguished educationists, NarendraKumar, former Chairman, DPS group of schools, had been responsible for creating an education system responsive to the changing societal needs at national and international level.Further, he had taken the hitherto unimaginable route of setting up schools abroad, in a way that integrates the Indian Diaspora with their culture, values and education as nothing else had been done till date.
He has varied interests and has written books on Bangladesh, Russia,China, Central Asia and Africa as well as on Education and has been the doyen of Indian publishing for many decades and has been hailed as “a legend in his life-time”.
He has been a member of various UNESCO and WIPO Working Groups and has been conferred with the award “Order of the Star of the Italian Solidarity” conferred by the President of the Republic of Italy.
He was the youngest publisher to have been inducted into theIndian Publishing Hall of Fame.
Mr. Rahul Gautam is the Chairman-Managing Director of Sheela Foam Ltd., India and he is also the Chairman of its subsidiaries Joyce Foam Pty Ltd., Australia & Interplasp S.L., Spain. He has been associated with Sheela Foam since 1971.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, USA. He has been awarded Professional Doctorate in Global Leadership & Management from European International University, Paris.
He has over 40 years of experience in the Home Comfort Products and the PU Foam Industry. He is the Founder & the Chairman Emeritus of the Indian Polyurethane Association.
He enjoys Out-Door Sports, reading Books on Management & Philosophy, listening to Indian Classical Instrumental Music and Supporting Educational Activities.

As Chairman,Sharda Group synergising across Education, Health Care, Information Technology, Start-ups, Engineering Equipment, Construction, Bio-technology, Hospitality and Skill Development, Sh. Gupta has been contributing immensely to the development of society and in nation building.
Another feather in his cap, has been the establishment of Sharda University Uzbekistan in year 2019, which is envisaged to become the gateway for students from Eurasia.
For the yeomen service rendered by Sh. PK Gupta, he has been bestowed with ‘UdyogRatna’ and ‘Uttar Pradesh’ award. The Federation of Educational Publisher has honoured him with ‘Best Educationist’ award. As a founder of ‘Education Promotion Society for India’ (EPSI) and its past President, Sh. Gupta has been raising various issues concerning much needed reforms in higher educational institutions in the country.He has also served on the highest governing bodies of institutions like NIFT, Delhi and ‘ShramikVidyapeeth’, Ministry of labour.
As a recognition of his contributions, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education has often invited him to offer his views on the various policies issues under consideration of the Parliament.
