Acknowledged among India’s most distinguished educationists, NarendraKumar, former Chairman, DPS group of schools, had been responsible for creating an education system responsive to the changing societal needs at national and international level.Further, he had taken the hitherto unimaginable route of setting up schools abroad, in a way that integrates the Indian Diaspora with their culture, values and education as nothing else had been done till date.
He has varied interests and has written books on Bangladesh, Russia,China, Central Asia and Africa as well as on Education and has been the doyen of Indian publishing for many decades and has been hailed as “a legend in his life-time”.
He has been a member of various UNESCO and WIPO Working Groups and has been conferred with the award “Order of the Star of the Italian Solidarity” conferred by the President of the Republic of Italy.
He was the youngest publisher to have been inducted into theIndian Publishing Hall of Fame.
